Statement:
I tend to isolate figures, or isolate scenes in a way that renders them separate from the world they may otherwise inhabit. Like the great masters before me I seek to tell some kind of story that is layered (as the paint is) and elevated from the chatter of the world.
Moments, memories, fantasies; some things I dare not forget. Paint helps me record and perfect, through its unpredictable imperfection, my ways of seeing and feeling.
